I dont know what this guy did to the thing, but even at 2500 rpm it was almost screaming. Get it up to 3500 in the garage and it was almost hurting your ears. I loved it. More cars need a V10 in them

We got the Avant here in the UK. Typically when you see them they’re sat on a more subtle set of alloys than the RS4 items your mate appears to own. They’re also often debadged save for the little V10 moniker on the wing.

I can hand on heart say that as far as ‘Q’ cars go it’s one of my favourites.

I actually cross-shopped a 2010 S6 when buying my S4 a few weeks back. Basically everything I read online was correct. For having a V10, it wasn’t all that fast (my 2011 S4 is faster), but that noise was intoxicating.

In order for that thing to actually be quicker, Audi should have thrown that DSG transmission in there, rather than a regular 6-Speed Auto. If they did that, created a better parts network (which will obviously be needed), and had cheaper insurance (a whole $2,000 more year to insure than my S4), it’d be in my garage right now.
